Gravatar There was only one way to get rid of Obama, let him have a lot of exposure.

Mrs. Clinton did not really warn the Democrats.

Gravatar I have been saying for months now that McCain will win. It's a question of just how historic Obama's collapse will be.

The death knell for the Obama campaign...and the Democrats...is the Zogby Poll's information on the economy:

McCain now has a 9-point edge, 49 percent to 40 percent, over Obama on the critical question of who would be the best manager of the economy -- an issue nearly half of voters said was their top concern in the November 4 presidential election.

That margin reversed Obama's 4-point edge last month on the economy over McCain, an Arizona senator and former Vietnam prisoner of war who has admitted a lack of economic expertise and shows far greater interest in foreign and military policy.

John McCain has gained 13 points on Obama on the economy in one month. This one may be over by October.

I've told WUA readers for months now that Obama was never anything to worry about and McCain would win in landslide.

Count on it.

Gravatar I keep saying that Hillary is not out yet. The only thing that could pull Obama up in the polls is to pick Hillary as his VP. They have Hillary speaking, then they have Bill speaking, any one else will be nothing but a let-down for Democrats.

Gravatar An Excellent article and the numbers speak for themselves, I feel that there may be some tricks up the clintons sleeves, not sure what but there is something going on, but I feel that Nobama has shown his true colors as of lately and the empty suit speaks for itself, the church meeting was something that has everyone a buzz here at work, the answers were something that really hit home for a lot of people, they Saw McCain as quick to answer and honest, they saw Nobama as non-answering and danced around everything, for me the CNN polls are crap, they only interview the Liberals and keep that list to poll over and over again, the rest of the country could have landslide polls and theirs would still be tilted towards Nobams, what a waste of news polls. With McCain coming out just after the Dnc to anounce the VP and any other news, that should be enough to take the spotlight away from any points that may be gained in the Dnc but I feel the Dnc will be further spilt after the weekend due to the clinton supporters, after reading some of the websites poted here on this site yesterday, I had no idea there were so many people with sites against Nobama, very glad about that.

Gravatar And in NY Obama had a comfortable 15 point lead. It is now down to 8 points. It will go lower and McCain could win NY.

Gravatar "And in NY Obama had a comfortable 15 point lead. It is now down to 8 points. It will go lower and McCain could win NY."

You obviously don't live anywhere near NY. The average of all NY polls has Obama up by 19 and McCain has no chance there at all, but you can keep hoping.

Gravatar Actually, I am not far from NY and most of my coworkers are from Northern NJ and the New York area, they have all been talking about the recent interviews at the church, they were about split here a few months ago, since talking about the recent interviews they have all seen a different light on Nobama, so not sure what area you are from but the Technology group have all flipped since I have been at odds with most of them on issues, they have changed their tune and in a big way, so I am onboard with all of Katie's numbers and then some from here, sorry Dan H but these polls have been leaning for quite some time in the wrong direction, you are looking through rose colored glasses.

Gravatar Not to beat a dead horse as so to speak, but if you (Dan H) check out the links that Susan has so conviently provided on this site and really look at the information at hand you know like really look at the links..., you will see the stark difference to what you are implying, your information had to come from CNN the only site that has your numbers, not the other polls that are more neutral than liberal!

Gravatar *censored* the composite electoral projections from FiveThirtyEight.com, which both show NY is not competitive. I also doubt McCain will even make any campaign stops anywhere in NY in the near future either..

Gravatar Well Dan H, my guess is that you did not take a look at the links provided buy susan on this site, now me, I followed your links, one did not work and here is the headline on the other site.......
It was another fairly bad polling day for Barack Obama, and we are getting to the point where it would be hard to describe the election as anything other than "too close to call". But most of that has been driven by the rapidly tightening national numbers. This set of state polling isn't quite as bad as it looks for Obama:
Now if you read that Dan, it says quite the opposite of what you claim, hmmm interesting those rose colored glasses.....

Gravatar It should have been evident to all that Obama would not excell in the Presidential race after Hillary beat him so soundly in the last months of the primary.

The natural tendency is to run with the excitement of "change". However, as the time gets closer to the actual election, voters start delving deeper into the issues and analyzing which candidate best represents the core beliefs of the voter. They also pay more attention about whom they would feel safer with as Commander In Chief.

Obama's staunch left-wing positions on not drilling for oil, pro-abortion and not listening to the recommendations of our Generals result in him losing by one of the worse defeats in history.

Gravatar "This set of state polling isn't quite as bad as it looks for Obama"

McCain had a 15-point deficit in national polls a little while back so of course the race will get closer, but only state polls really matter and Obama has never been behind on any of the electoral maps since the beginning of the race. Considering that Gore won NY by 25 points and Kerry won by 18 there over Bush, I was just pointing out that Obama has a better chance of winning McCain's home state of Arizona than McCain will ever have of taking NY.
