"Is it any wonder that Democrats have been known for ages to be weak on National Security?"
Nope.

The Leftinistra live in their own little sheltered world where everyone is OK fine and we all get along. Little do they know that if Sha'ria Law comes to the US, Liberalism will be the first to fall.

That's what amazes me the most, Snooper. I can not for the LIFE of me understand their self-destructive behaviors and attitudes on this.

Bush made it clear that he would veto any bill that didn't provide retroactive immunity for the telecoms. Those who fight including retroactive immunity think that the right to privacy means something.

Considering the Senate bill, which passed with bipartisan support...that means 19 Democrats voted for, included the immunity, because SOME people understand the importance of having the tools to protect our country.
What part of that needs to be explained slower so your mind can wrap around the concept?

A quote frequently attributed to Benjamin Franklin says "those who would give up freedom for security deserve neither." There is no need for the telecoms to have immunity, especially since they were involved in warrantless wiretapping BEFORE 9/11/01 and the warrantless wiretaps did nothing to stop the attacks.
I believe that the 19 Senators that voted for the bill with the immunity provision are a disgrace to their elected offices.
I also believe that having the president publicly state that he would veto any bill that didn't include immunity for the telecoms demonstrates that he doesn't think this bill is as essential as he claims.

Nothing like taking something out of context to frame a logical fallacy and develop a straw man. Idiots.
