The problem is spree that this isn't the first time the Democrats have basically wasted America's time. THe first and foremost thing here is that we are at war. Everything else should not only be couched in terms of that, but it should take a back seat to it.
The Democrats have learned nothing. I'm beginning to think if they really are as intellectually vapid and "incurious" as they accuse Bush of being. We're at war, where the choices given to us by the enemy are submit or die. It really is as simple as that. They have chosen to submit. More importantly, they presume to speak for America and say that we submit.
And they wonder, as you said, why this is the most despised Congress in the history of Congress.
I know Lightwave, I sit and watch them on Cspan2 and am simply astounded at what I see, day in and day out.
An 11% CONgress is nothing to brag about is it?

He definitely IS starting to see that the Democrats are losing the battle at home to force surrender and he is taking strength from the support he is being given by those that understand victory is the only option.

Well, the Dems LOVE defeat so much - it's almost like they've bought into that victimistic mentality (like Palestinians?) so much they can't get their act together.
People down here in Hillbillyland that were against the war 3 weeks ago (no point in spending more 'blood and treasure' on murderous, intolerant ingrates) have changed their stance since the MoveOn add slamming General Petraeus came out. The spoken and unspoken idea I'm getting from people is that there is only an American Military - not a GOP military or a Democrat military.
Watch it happen ya'll - people will continue to back away from this 'defeat at any cost' the pols in MO's pocket are pushing for.

I like that courtney and I noticed the same thing. The latest Gallup poll shows that in one week, the approval rating for Petraeus jumped 9 points. I think MoveOn helped cause Americans to rally behind the military because they didn't like seeing them or him disparaged or attacked.
