In a time when his country needed his guidance and wisdom, his strength of character the most, Gerald Ford was there.

I have always believed that there are times when the right people are in the right place at the right time to accomplish the impossible. Gerald Ford took the Presidency at a time of great crisis for our nation, and things could have gone 180 degrees from the way that they did. Rather than being completely ripped apart in the aftermath of the Watergate affair, Fords leadership took us back into waters that, while not calm, where not the catastrophy that they could have been.

Rest in peace, Mr. President. You've earned it if anyone has.
