That beach house is not far from where Johnny and I rented a house right on the shore for a week when he got back from Iraq after a year. GREAT beaches. Obviously this is a terrible tragedy but you have to wonder what sorts of unsavory things might be going on in that house. If my children were in college yet, I'd be extremely disappointed if they went away on a co-ed weekend.

Kids having fun and being too young to know any better. Horrible tragedy. My heart bleeds for those families.
My son wasn't much older when I almost lost him and I know those families are going through hell right now.

People, please try to keep an open mind. Just because they were in college doesn't mean that they were participating in "certain activities". I KNOW one of the people that was in that fire!! They would never participate in such activities, trust me. So before you go making accusations about someone, please get your facts straight. I regret losing my temper, but it's worth it if I can get my point across. So please, don't go around making accusations if you don't know any more than anyone else. It's only fair to everyone else.
Lastly, I can only send out my condolences to everyone else who has suffered from this tragedy, I do not know how deep your sorrow is, but I don't want people going around criticizing others because of a generalization about college students.

I don't recollect anyone making any accusations of anything other than that their thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those lost in the fire, J. As a fireman, no longer active, I can tell you that it's a tragic, tragic thing for all involved. Don't mistake being thankful that it isn't your own children with condemnation of others.

Our thoughts are with you during the loss of your friends.
