Well, this was expected by those with an unbiased knowledge of the law, after all.
CPS overstepped its bounds and the next thing to happen will be the massive civil lawsuits against the State and the individuals who acted outside the law.
And so it should be.
The Constitution will be our saving grace as long as we don't allow bigotry to enter our legal policy.
It's an awful shame practially no liberals and darned few conservatives stood up for this outrage. Watch Nancy DisGrace and see there are still people cheering for the witch hunters and protecting those 13 year old pregnant teens -- who were actually an 18 and 22 year old married women. When CPS actually identifies a real victim and a real perpetrator, we can cheer them, until them, they've ruined the lives of over 1000 people and inflicted nearly 2 child-months of abuse to protect against .... nothing at all. This was all made up of the rumours and stories leading up to the raid, not the non-evidence that they still couldn't come up with one slam dunk case after a month and a half of interrogating every mother and child to the point of tears.
My question always is where is CPS for all the other pregnant kids in TX?? Suddenly they have all these resources to help these kids while thousands live in gangster apts and hundreds of underage kids have babies every day.... out of wedlock and without any support... yet the state will give them aid while putting the church leader of this group in jail for allowing a marriage between a 14 and 19 year old??
Protect all the kids, not just when it's a sensational story invovling polygamists.
How many hundreds of kids are sitting in real danger now because CPS screwed this up and siezed an entire towns children??
Guess it's ok to do these things if you are a gang banger or something, but if it's religious the state will come in and surely do something.
Smells funny to me. Sounds like CPS is being used for something other then it's mission by someone.
