Over the years I have learned that much of the time there is a lot of hyperbole in articles such as the one I received and do try to verify before I start a panic among my friends.

This article seems to indicate that, while not banned per se, teaching the holocaust in the UK is being dropped in many classes for the express purpose of avoiding offence to Islamic peoples.
