They're stunned.  They can't admit to themselves that the Republican National Convention was *more successful* than the Democratic one, and that more people are interested in getting to know the GOP candidates and are curious about what they have to bring to the table.<br><br>What this means is there's an awful lot of people who don't normally vote who will this year.  And a great many of these voters have been brought back by the CHARACTER of John McCain and the ISSUES that Sarah Palin represents.<br><br>The Democrats are going to lose...I think they are in danger of losing Congress even...because they think this election is about Bush.  It's not and it never was.  This election is about the future of America, not Bush.<br><br>All the Democrats and particularly Barack Obama have to offer is \"I'm not Bush.\"  It hasn't occurred to the entire party that America needs more than a four year Senator with no major bills.  it needs somebody like McCain, and in November all those races where Bush isn't running...all of them...are going to find Republicans making the race competitive if not winning on McCain and Palin's coattails.<br><br>The social conditions of this country that put the GOP in charge of America in the 21st century have not changed much.  In 2006 the GOP learned its lesson.
