Blurring the lines is an ideology. When everything is relative, there is no right and wrong and therefore, there is no need to act- and that is what blurring is all about.
If one does not need to act, inertia is the result.
In addition, blurring, or relativism, has become a psychological necessity for many.
To acknowledge evil, or to distinguish right from wrong means that people will have to admit they and their closely held beliefs are wrong.
They would sooner tolerate the death of others in faraway places rather than admit that.
