Hollywood's recent multiple defeats at the box office underscore this bit. True enough. Hollywood's out of touch insights are essentially that America is led by evil capitalists, her armies fielding hillbilly white trash, out of control ho's and murderous playas. Americans who attend movies don't buy it. Americans who are saavy about their history know America is noble.

Now, a wicki docu drama movie about Jessica Lynch (starring Lindsay Lohan) all jazzed up (made up for artistic reasons) about their ordeal at A Nasariyah could have been a smash. You know, a real 'Alamo in the new millenium type thing'. That would sell. American GI's = American Heroes type voice over. "They came to fight for freedom. Now they're fighting for their lives" .

Redacted is retarded. Like defeat or a broken military (by the spiritual sons of horrid places like Hurtegn Forrest or Chosan - like out of touch congressman Murtha) Not worried that Americans would ever buy into it - but you can bet it'll get extended runs in such cinema saavy places like Tehran, Pyongyang, Damascus and Gaza.

And thats the prob. In semi and totally un free nations with an unimpressive literacy rate and no free media - illegitimate regimes will get a lot of mileage out of Redacted. Thanks Mr De Palma. Jerk.
