Obama has said he loves the free market. As an unafiliated voter I search for signs of this. Fortune just ran a cover article covering both campaigns tax and economic proposals. It intriqued me that Warren Buffet, a guy who knows more about capital markets than most, is an advisor/supporter of Obama. So is the CEO of JP Morgan, Jamie Dimon. As a small business owner (homebuilder), I am concerned about taxes. But, I am also gravely concerned about the overall economy and from what I can gather, the subprime crisis was caused by lack of oversight and prudent banking regulations. My opinion is that an Obama administration would be cautious, prudent and stimulate the economy. I hear socialism bandied about so much it seems it has lost its meaning - rather than discuss detailed and substative issues, the discussion ends with well he is just a socialist. Until I find a good reason not to, my vote is for Obama, chiefly because I think he stands to rebalance and revive this economy.

Economy is a big thing. However, with BO in office it will not matter about economy since our National Security will be pretty much non-existant. I do not feel safe for myself or my family even thinking there is a slight possibility of BO being elected into the Prez. office. We can all tighten our belts if necessary, but when our safety is in question that seems to be the most important thing. And why do all of these other countries back BO? Because we will then become vulnerable to attack and will no longer have the strength this country has and needs.
