National Security is a loser for the Dems, they know it. They're simply trying to get this issue out of the way before November.
Of course, it's far too late. The GOP can bring up the fact that the Democrats have left America potentially vulnerable to terrorist attacks for the last 18 months.
How badly will Obama lose in November? I can tell you that Nancy and Harry won't be leading anything come January.

I hope you're right Lightwave, but I fear that Obama will win in November. The MSM has already declared him the winner. He can do nothing wrong according to them and the usual voter is a sheep, following the lead of the Media.

I disagree, Katie.
Obama can and has done plenty of wrong. For a lot of people his decision to go off public funding has turned into the last straw for his "campaign of change".
He's just another bought and paid for politician, in this case, bought and paid for by the George Soros/John Kerry wing of the corporate billionaire Dems, the ones that plan to make far more money off of Obama's proposed Hugo Chavez socialism than they'll ever pay in "increased taxes on the wealthy."
It's you and me who will be funding health care for the welfare queens under Obama's "tax them all, give to the corporations" scheme.

If Obama votes for that bill, he lost my vote. If I won't vote for a white tyrant, why would I vote for a black tyrant?
The answer is I won't.
I had big hopes for the guy, but it's pretty clear Obama is a DLC shill (as opposed to "leaning right" as others are saying). I don't agree with any of the DLC's policies.
With respect to "stomping feet", what I prefer to see happen is to get Hoyer and Pelosi replaced. They are in the minority in their party and the majority chooses the leaders and they have plenty of eager ambitious other Democrats who want their job.
We need some of the younger visionary not-corrupted yet Democrats in leadership positions. It's time to clean out the trash.
I also take issue with your characterization of being against spying of U.S. citizens without probable cause as being a "far left" issue.
Is Bob Barr (Former Republican) "far left" do you think?
I'm a moderate and I don't think the government should be spying on anyone without probable cause ... Internet or no Internet.
I think Hoyer is going to lose his job in this case and I hope we can take Pelosi out right along with him. They aren't in the majority of the party on this issue and the majority decides the leaders.

He doesn't have to vote for it....the Senate has enough votes to get it passed AND they can try to strip the immunity out all they want, the Senate tried that before, multiple times in the past, and the ones that got passed in the Senate...HAD the immunity, then it went to the house to make some small tweaks, passed it and now it is back in the Senate where it is expected to pass with or without Obama's vote.
