I read Atlas Shrugged the same time as David Remniks Lenin's Tomb. To read about the collapse of Communism from the general decay that was brought on by an anti-profit regime at the same time as Atlas Shrugged was powerful to say the least. She was right about so much, not everything, but alot. 500 years from now Atlas Shrugged will be as true then as it is today.

Okay, this is too bizarre--I write on this very book this weekend, NOT KNOWING today is the publishing anniversary! Turns out my mentor in my study group has this book as her all time favorite! Great minds TRULY think alike!
