HENRY, Her aura of inevitability has been shed and poll after poll shows her lead decreasing. Believe me, I prefer if she were the shoe in because that would be the BEST news for the GOP going into 2008.
She has too much baggage but we would prefer that NOT be a factor until she becomes the Democratic nominee.

Asked which of the candidates better understands the "problems of people like you", 33 percent of women choose Obama while 24 percent opt for Clinton -- a stunning number. On that same question Obama leads Clinton among those who earn less than $50,000 by 11 points, roughly equivalent to the 12 point lead he carries among those who earn more than $50,000.
The results were remarkably similar when the sample was asked which candidate they believed was more "honest and trustworthy." Thirty percent of women chose Obama while just 18 percent went for Clinton. Twenty eight percent of voters over 45 opted for Obama while 17 percent backed Clinton.
Looks like her campaign finance corruption, her flip flopping, her associations with crooks and fugitives and the fact that so many have sworn they would "never" vote for her, is finally biting her right in the ass.

While we pay some attention to the details, most voters don't. It is far too early to make projections and predictions in either the primary or general election.
Somebody should be focusing on the questions that are being asked, and pointing out the mindset that prompts those questions and its negative effect on society.
"Who best understands your problems" is a case in point. The President is neither yer mother nor yer psychiatrist. Understanding yer problems is not his role, neither is wiping yer snout & arse.
A government that can give you everything you want will take it away and give it to someone else.
If we don't find a nominee who understands this fatal fact and is willing & able to effectively explain it to the electorate, we are sunk.

Actually, I've made a point of saying from over a year ago that crowning Senator Clinton with the nomination was such a major assumption...and brings to question why the Republican candidates have spent so much time attacking her instead of differentiating themselves. The again, "inner circle" Democrats from NY contend she's got the nomination wrapped up. I've never accepted that.
