Unfortunately, I kind of agree with the pastor. His presentation was a little unsettleing, but he got is point accross. I agree with him. I feel this country has come full circle and now is exactly what it was trying to get away from. I think our government is like bad parents. Democrates Republicans. Mom Dad....argue, scheme, lie, cheat and as always "do as I say, not as I do"..."do as your told and don't ask questions" I feel like our disfunctional family is comming apart at the seems. And there is no way Obama didn’t realize, fully understand, was totally cognizant, and somewhat believed in what Wright was panning out to his flock. I do not understand how anyone can agree with what this pastor said, no matter what color you are. As christians we are to love one another as Christ loved us and gave his life for us. Jesus is not about hate or teaching hate and that is what this preacher is doing. God Bless America.

I had a good friend when I was in junior high school named Tony. He was white and a member of the Mormon Church. I am African American. We lived in a predominantly white community in Baltimore in the mid-
70
’s that had a community pool where African Americans were not allowed. One of the members of the community was a prominent member of the Ku Klux Klan. There was even a cross burning on my block when I lived there. Even though Tony’s church did not allow African Americans to be clergy, and he often referred to minorities, including African Americans, using racial slurs, we were somehow friends. There was some kind of strong bond that existed between us. This really perplexed me until one day when Tony and I were walking to school with two of our other friends who were African American. Two white boys walked up to us and challenged us to a fight. One of them said, “There are three of us and three of you; let’s fight!” He made the assumption that Tony being white would fight on their side. Our friends and I were speechless. But Tony, without hesitation, stepped out in front of us and said, “Seems to me y’all can’t count, because I see four of us and two of you!” The boys ran off. From that day on, I really knew the meaning of the saying “you can’t judge a book by its cover.” Tony stood up for us in ways most of my politically correct friends and family never would. I could never disavow Tony. Maybe that is what Barack Obama has found in Jeremiah Wright, and that is why he cannot disavow him.
I have concerns about Barack Obama's judgment. Rev. Jeremiah Wright taught Black Liberation Theology. An Internet Search for Black Liberation Theology displays articles that explain the strong anti-white sentiments of its proponents. Rev. Wright gave a lifetime achievement award to the anti-white, anti-Semitic, and anti-Catholic Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan. Barack Obama is a very intelligent man. He knows the world view and doctrines of Black Liberation Theology. He listened to sermons for 20 years and gave significant amounts of money to support Rev. Wright's teaching. He exposed his daughters to anti-American and anti-white preaching.
Some people argue that Rev. Jeremiah Wright was instrumental in establishing numerous ministries for people with a variety of needs. Rev. Wright and his congregation should be commended for those ministries. However, nearly all churches have ministries to help people with a variety of needs. Rev. Wright's good works do not excuse the unpatriotic rhetoric and vulgar actions (Bill was ridin' dirty...) while he was preaching.
Barack Obama could have chosen a spiritual advisor and mentor who agrees with the teaching of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Rev. King warned against "drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred."
I do not believe Barack Obama's actions have demonstrated he has the judgment to be our President. I think he should work to change the anti-American and anti-white preaching in his own church before he has the audacity to hope for our votes.

It would have been eaiser for white Americans to elect Obama had he left Rev. Wrights church. If
Mr. Obama had been more like Judge Clarence Thompson and denied and buried his experience as a black man, he would be a more acceptable person for white americans to embrace. Twenty years ago Obama was a young black man trying to find himself. He grew up outside the black community. Mr. Obama found acceptance in the black community. He has never told the world how it feels to grow up in a white world culture as a black man. Rev. Wright explained the pain. Now Obama has 2o years of living and trying to balance his life in two worlds. Critics are saying that is not good enough. They want Mr. Obama to separate himself and leave behind those who have ignorant views. What Obama has told us is we have to let go of the pain of the past in order to have a more perfect union. Mr. Obama has rejected white racisim and black racisim. Obama is not perfect. I agree with Gov. Richardson's description, Mr. Obama is a once in a live time individual who can unite and bring change. If you can get out of your skin and look at his total presentation. You will agree with me he is unequivocally the best and most qualified candidate for the president of the United States.
