Gravatar Certainly more do-able now that there's daylight and nice weather, but that would be a two hour miserable journey in the dark cold winter! Too bad you're not on the light rail line.

Gravatar Maybe you should buy an SUV.

Gravatar You should get one of those awesome child-sized fold-up bikes that big city folk use.

Gravatar I don't apply this to everyone who has ever bussed their bike (I have plenty of stories about that), but the people using racks on the 53 piss me off. One exception is the guy who uses it to skip a couple transfers, but he has your same problem, except that one day where the rack was literally frozen shut.

If you're dedicated to the mixed-mode system, you're probably stuck with a dedicated bike, and it's not pretty -- SW Transit doesn't seem to offer bike lockers, so you'll want a beater or a folder.

Gravatar Sounds like you may have written this post while squatting at the Urban Bean?

Gravatar You might contact the bus company and to have them add more bike racks onto the bus. If it's that popular they could incread ridership to accomidate bike riders as well.
