We've gotten a great response from the first day. Thanks to all who are helping to get the word out. Looks like this could be the first "national convention" And think it's all free and you don't need a hotel room!

What a brillaint idea! Okay, I'm doing my part to spread the word. I just posted a review over at AHA Weblogs about your blog, and it mentions the convention:

Lastly, I will sift through my stuff and come up with my own contribution. Would a homeschooling podcast/radio show type thing also be acceptable? Or should I stick to print? Or both?

Kim, I never thought about it a podcast so I think for this one we'll stick with print. But in the future if people want to do another we can work out more extravagant presentation methods.

This sounds like a great idea! I'm a total newcomer to homeschooling, but I'm really looking forward to this convention. What a wonderful idea. We've been homeschooling for almost 6 years - with 7 kids.
I've been blogging for a year and I'm still not sure how to use trackback correctly, so I'll just link to your blog from mine, the old fashioned way.

Yet another from the staff of Virtue Mag here, I was wondering if you are going to do this once, or on a weekly/monthly/bi-monthly/quartly time period or something. I think that would be pretty awesome. I know a few people who would be interested in reading it, and possibly even writing it.
If you're intested in doing something like that, I would be glad to help you set up anything from your own website for it to a whole magazine if you were interested. Maybe I'm taking this whole idea a bit further than you intended, but I think that it would be really cool!

I hope you do it again, because I'd like to write for it sometime (Didn't have enough time to do it this week, and as Spunky Jr. can tell, I've been working on Virtue a lot!).
