Gravatar Wow, Spunky! Did I count 50 entrires? Great idea! You did a lot of work, thanks! I look forward to not only reading these posts, but all the new blogs. God Bless.

Gravatar WOW... I'm never going to get anything done today, I have too much to read now!

Okay... better go make a pot of coffee, looks like I'll be busy for a while. Thank you SO much for doing this, alot of families are going to be so blessed by this.

Gravatar OH WOW! This is *awesome*!

Gravatar Oh, I just checked - the link for Homeschooling Babies & Toddlers should be http://atypicalife.net/blog/?p=366

You must be bug-eyed at this point.

Gravatar Great job! I am so excited to get started!

Are offline conventions this much fun? I've never been but I think this will be hard to beat.

Gravatar This is so great! I'm going to be here all day!

Gravatar Andrea the link should be fixed now. Sorry about that.

Enjoy

Gravatar Spunky!!! I think this may officially push you into "SuperMom" status!! Start checking your chest for the faint outline of the "S" that will show up.
Wow what an event! The only thing I missed was lunch served to my Littles, so that I could continue reading. Think you could add this in next year?
Well done, you!!
Now, go drink some java, cause I KNOW you had to be up for days straight!!
Blessings,
Dawn

Gravatar WOW, girlfriend!!!!!
This was a LOT of work!!!!!!!!!
Great job.

I'll Fed-Ex you a mocha (with four espresso shots in it) from Alaska.

Love,
Mol

Gravatar How exciting and wonderful...thanks for putting this together, Spunk! You and Kristin are awesome.

Gravatar Woohoo! I'm having so much fun. Thanks for doing this!

Gravatar This is fabulous!!!!

Good for you!
And good for us :o)

Gravatar *Wow* I am just in awe. You did a fabulous job!!

Gravatar Wow! I've been taking a short blogging break to finish up our hs year. I am so glad to have found your "conference" through Poppins! I'm going to hide this weekend and read!

Gravatar This is such a great idea... I'm off to promote on my blog!!

Gravatar What a GREAT idea and you've done a GREAT job pulling it off. thank you. No pressure, but... this could be an annual event.

Gravatar WOW...you got more entries than expected...more than the Evangelical Outpost Spymposium (and I could be wrong, but I know you're close). All the posts were great! Great job!

Gravatar Thank you for putting your time and energy into the Homeschool Convention! I have read some entries, but not all, I hope to get some time this weekend for more!

Thanks again!

Gravatar Oh, I'm so sorry I was too burned out with writing to participate! I hope you'll have another next year!

Gravatar All I can say is WOW! Great job. I have been having so much fun perusing the entries- and learning so much. Thank you for all the hard work!

Gravatar Thank you. This was a terrific idea.

Gravatar Hello Spunky! I'm Brandy -- known in parts of blogland as Lady4Jesus. Came here through Kristen (Walking Circumspectly blog). My goodness! Looks like I have lots of reading to do now throughout the rest of the weekend and into next week. Can't wait to dig in. It's a wonderful, wonderful idea! Just wanted to take the time to thank you for putting forth such an outstanding effort to get this all together!

(we're not homeschooling just yet ... our daughter is only 17 months old .... but we will be, so I'm always on the hunt for stuff to read on it lol).

Blessings to you and yours!
Brandy

Gravatar Just wanted to add my praise for all your hard work. I just came across your site on the Amy's Humble Musings site. Looks like I've have many days of some great reads.

Keep up the good work!

God Bless

Gravatar Thanks, Spunky!

The link for the Keynote Address was not working for me, I think this is it: http://www.classicalchild.com/ ar...CoachBudget.htm

I would add that you can get phonics materials free from Don Potters Education Page: http://www.donpotter.net/ed.htm. And, www.starfall.com is another good free way to practice phonics.

I would, however, discourage the use of sight words and sight word bingo. Read the Article on Don Potter's Page, "Can Dyslexia Be Artificially Induced in School? Yes, Says Researcher Edward Miller." For a better way to teach sight words, find out how to sound out all but 2 of the 220 most commonly taught Dolch sight words on my website: http://www.thephonicspage.org/ On...sightwords.html

I've tutored too many children harmed by whole word methods and poor phonics programs with too many sight words. It's far better to do it right the first time than to have to do remedial training later.

Gravatar Wow! I know it' like 3 years later - but I'm always a little late - and I just found this. Don't ask me how.
This is so cool! Are you going to do it again? What a great idea. Thank you for doing this! Blessings, Dee
