I think the ads that are playing in my state are shameless. It's about time we start hearing from the opposition. Most ads say "it's not about cloning, it's about cures" or "such and such a politician doesn't want Missourians to have access to cutting edge medical care" or something to that affect. Well I'm here to say it is about cloning. This is the same process that begat Dolly the Sheep. It is about sacrificing the lives of those who cannot speak for themselves in the name of science. Let's not forget, not one cure has come from the embryonic stem cell research that is already happening in the private sector. As always, it about money. Big business supporting the Stowers Institute for Medical Research and similar ventures wants this measure to pass solely for monitary gains and could care less about the thousands of lives that stand to be destroyed. I think people are being selfish by supporting this issue because they think it could cure their disease. I too have a disease that they claim could benefit from the research and yet I am strongly against it because I cherish life, not just my own.

It's all so much nonsense.
The reason they want state-funding is because the sensible people in business won't fund embryonic stem-cell research because adult stem-cell research has already proved effective. ESC work has produced nothing but scary tumours.
But they want tax-money because they know what a great big bottomless pit that can be.
