I have a better idea. How 'bout they just lower taxes and let us decide to whom to give our money and which programs actually work. We'll call it a Change Back Towards Freedom, which is the only Change I'm looking for right now. :P

According to my daughter's liberal government prof. lower taxes is actually a bad idea. He couldn't understand why conservatives want lower taxes because that means Uncle Sam would have to cut government programs, which he actually said was a part of OUR income. I'll have to go find the actual lecture notes. He also said that if he were independently wealthy and didn't care about others, he'd be a conservative too. It was unbelievable in it's absurdity.

Why would anyone find this anything other than pandering? Why would my group want Govt money just so the Govt can ask for more and not fix the mess they have now?
Use that money to fix the FDA so I know when I can buy tomatoes again; make sure I don't have anymore toys with lead; fix the Pentagon cost over-runs so we can stop paying admin Generals bonuses for missed deadlines but get our troops new bullet proof clothing; quit harassing my 50 yr old mother with jail time and find out who stole her identity; fund the hotline and counseling for congressional pages; etc.
