Kat, Lori - it gets so intense seeing those things fall down but whenever I catch a glimpse of the saints' capes flapping by, I can't help but laugh! It's too funny.

I'm a little dense, i've never seen asparagus plant, so i'm surprised to see how lust the wild asparagus plants are.
Oh, I've always wanted to go to this festival--too bad it's in the middle of the week (and on my husband's birthday, for that matter)! it's such a coincidence that you guys were just in gubbio--last weekend we drove right past gubbio (looking up at the beautiful town centre and sighing at how pretty it was from our distance on the super strada) on our way to ... (well, i have to blog about that, so i can't tell you the name yet). any chance you'll be back in the area for more?
PS I take it from your teaser post that you guys were in Abruzzo for the snake festival? I'm SO jealous!!!
