What?

I've starting a book I've been meaning to read for ages, called "How We Know What Isn't So", its a good guideline for accessing risks and statistics and it quotes the generic astrological personal description that something like 80% of people will agree with, it should be on the web somewhere.

As for the theory behind the temperature controlled gender of reptiles pertaining to human birth, surely the date of birth is only a one factor in seasonal temperature and daylight - latitude is another. Then again, observation of the stars and/or planets is a good way of determining latitude, so perhaps there is a solid theory behind astrology after all !

Funny you should mention latitude. It has often occurred to me that, if there is anything to astrology, then the effects would be reversed on people born in the Antipodes.

The really weird thing about astrology is that its study gave rise to so much solid science.

Working out someone's star sign is easy. I blogged about the closely guarded secret back in December:

Although, since it's a closely guarded secret, can I trust you not to tell it to anyone?

Yes, I remember that post, Andy.

If you're really that interested, here's an RSS feed for the latest comments to this blog. Never miss another pointless argument.

Of course comments are moderated, in a common-sense sort of a way. You don't have to give your email address to post here.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.

Cheers.
