What?

Umm, was a bit terse wasn’t it.
But you didn’t get it because you were mentioned, you got it because you had nominated someone, Bloggers of the Left Unite, so I thought you might, umm, like, err, you know, be interested.

Still now that you are indeed driving your vast readership to my site that’s my ego fed for the next few days. Ta!

Honestly, just how sillily do I need to write for people to realise I'm not serious? I refuse point blank to start using bloody smilies. That's just a slippery slope to typing "ROFL!!!" [shudder]

just how sillily do I need to write

More?

I'll see what I can do.

I really wasn't offended by your email.

I refuse point blank to start using bloody smilies.

For God's sake, don't use smilies. First resort of the talentless, if you want my opinion.

I agree, in general. Except that Gary uses them, and is rather a good writer. It's just one of his little quirks, and I'm sure we all love him for it.

ROTFLMAO etc etc etc ;-)

I have no doubt that the talentful use them on occasion. It's just that they besmirch themselves and should know better.

That's just Tim's boilerplate e-mail that he sends to everyone.

Everyone who nominated a post, yes. I’ve not quite descended to spamming the entire universe over the Roundup.

An idea though.....

Scott,

Yes, I know. I didn't really think Tim was bitter or resentful, or that I'm dead famous. For Christ's sake, I used the word "gazoolion". If that doesn't suggest non-seriousness to you, what on Earth would?

If you're really that interested, here's an RSS feed for the latest comments to this blog. Never miss another pointless argument.

Of course comments are moderated, in a common-sense sort of a way. You don't have to give your email address to post here.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.

Cheers.
