What?

So is this what they're calling the Nokia Communicator now? Hmm. I'm quite happy with my imate JAM, but the stylus typing can be fiddly. I suspect, though, that trying to use a mini QWERTY keyboard would be frustrating.

Well, you can't touch-type on it, but it's surprisingly good. A hell of a lot less frustrating than trying to type on a phone keypad.

Two questsion:

1) How much does it cost?
2) How much does connecting to the net cost?

Most people are asking about 200 quid for them, but the wondrous Mobileshop, bless their cotton socks, are doing them for 30 on O2. Much as I'm a non-fan of O2, that was too good to pass up.

Connecting to GPRS is cheap for small things like emails and prohibitively expensive for webpages and downloads. The wi-fi, however, means that you don't always have to use GPRS.

Have you seen the proposed imate Jam 2? Go to www.modaco.com and have a look in their news. Official name (non-branded) is HTC Wizard (The Jam is Magician). Basically a jam with a slide out keyboard.

I want a Jam. Got the orange c500 (same as Imate SP3) and me contract is up in a couple of months. Always preferred the WM devices to the symbian ones.

That's because you're a fool and a heretic and should have your toes dipped in vinegar.
