What?

Do they actually sound as if they've woken out of the coma, on the new album, or is it more of the same?
My sister was having a go at me a few months ago, after I expressed my deep dislike of Coldplay to her, she turned on me by saying "well, what about you, Tom? You and your bloody 'Joy Division', isn't that just as much "gloomy, depressing" music?"
Heck, I felt like retorting back, "at least they sounded like they were a bit....ANIMATED while they expressed their gloom! Feckin' Coldplay are like a valium overdose"!
I feel like saying to Chris Martin, "OK - she left you. Get over it, man. Have a beer, take a walk, anything but this twee, tiddly "The Field Mice were too rock 'n' roll for us" dirge!
(OK, I do quite like "Daylight" - it almost comes to life during the chorus - but that's about it).

Ach, I like them. But then I'm notoriously fond of mournful music.

Of course comments are moderated, in a common-sense sort of a way. You don't have to give your email address to post here.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.

Cheers.
