What?

Sounds about right. I set up a new PC yesterday, but put Debian on it. Much better, but the fonts suck.

I had to reinstall XP from scratch about a month ago, and I remember I had similar weirdness issues with Windows Update.
Let's hope Microsoft never decides to branch out and launch an airline.

Hmmm. I can't stand the default look of XP, I always change it back to the Win2k/Classic look. And Search is seriously useless. I installed Google Desktop Search until the Sarbanes Oxley auditors made me remove it. But it is at least stable. I only reboot about once a month.

I like the basic design, but not the colours. I change it to Silver, and that's rather nice.

If you're really that interested, here's an RSS feed for the latest comments to this blog. Never miss another pointless argument.

Of course comments are moderated, in a common-sense sort of a way. You don't have to give your email address to post here.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.

Cheers.
