Mmmmm, sounds delicious.
I don't have a waffle iron, but I do have one of those "lean, mean, fat-reducing grilling machines" and it's very handy for all sorts of things.

I suspect waffles are one of the things it's not handy for. It's sloped: the batter would slide off.
