I'm against it, on the perfectly sensible grounds that our councils and the Executive are power-crazed enough already.



I'm increasingly of the opinion that the only way to solve that problem is for 1979 to happen: let things get so broken that in about twenty years the Scots vote en masse for someone who doesn't just tinker at the edges of the system but stomps all over it.



There's an easier answer: let's hunt and kill our elected representatives.



Not much hunting required. Just dig a big hole in the ground and dangle a copy of Das Kapital over it.
