What?

"Let's be honest here. Madonna has been singled out for attack for two reasons. One: chinchillas are cute. Two: meat tastes good."

Three reasons actually. Most of the 'anti-fur campaigners' are anti-fur in the same sense as Labour activists are anti-hunting. It has very little to do with animal cruelty issues....

It's an ideological thing, based on envy & a feeling of superiority and entitlement to control the lives of others. Most of them know nothing about animals, fur farming, trade; they just want to stop other people doing what they themselves don't like.

I don't think I'd characterise the RSPCA in quite that way.

Once I might have agreed with you. However, the RSPCA is slowly becoming as political as PETA.

If you're really that interested, here's an RSS feed for the latest comments to this blog. Never miss another pointless argument.

Of course comments are moderated, in a common-sense sort of a way. You don't have to give your email address to post here.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.

Cheers.
