What?

Kids are wonderful.

I remember my elder daughter wanting to sleep with the light on in case of monsters so I told her that the only monster in the house was her baby sister and I could see she wasn't under the bed.

Then the villainous Jack Frost came up (who is a character in a series of fairy books that she loves reading).

So I told her that Jack Frost was responsible for all the pretty patterns on windows and puddles when it was cold, and that really he was just a cruelly misunderstood artist who got a lot of bad press.

(Remembers Eleanor staring at me with big eyes...).

That was the point I got punched in the arm by my wife and told to go away because I wasn't helping...

For a while, my niece was a bit nervous about Jack Frogs.

If you're really that interested, here's an RSS feed for the latest comments to this blog. Never miss another pointless argument.

Of course comments are moderated, in a common-sense sort of a way. You don't have to give your email address to post here.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.

Cheers.
