I think that everyone has been exceedingly unfair on Miss Farrell. Clearly she took 'Higher or lower numbers' to refer to the magnitude or modulus value, in which case the positive or negative nature of a real number is not the important point.

If you know your HTML, you can use <a>, <b>, and <i> tags, and entities, too. If you don't, you can still use them, but with a greater sense of trepidation.
