Skip - I completely agree with your post, though I would also challenge people to ask themselves, are you "investing" your time in things that will bear fruit down the road, or are you "spending" your time on things that are useless and will never make you better? Investments of time in learning new things, beginning and cultivating relationships, and other items like that can really help you long term leverage your time wisely.
It also makes me remember that sleeping 1 hour less a night can make a HUGE difference in the amount you can accomplish over the course of a year. I've taken to doing this, and I have seen major increases in my output.
