I use a pocket voice recorder to record the starting times and ending times of what I'm doing, because it is a lot easier than finding a log book to write it down. then at the end of the day I listen to the recordings and fill in the log.

I use the motivation that if I don't do this then I won't get paid. (what gets rewarded gets done)

co-workers think I am crazy / loser, but I don't care. i'll be further ahead next year than they will be...
