Just to add to the excellent points being made. For my 2005 book Authentic Business, I researched authenticity in business. I found that authentic businesses can spend up to 80% less on motivating customers and staff and get the same or better results than conventional businesses. So if you want to put a value on authenticity in business try 80% of your marketing, recruitment and incentive spend.

Skip, I'm on board all the way.
A question that needs to be asked is: Why aren't those 5 things happening now?
They are all items that most people at all organizational levels will acknowledge are important. If that's so, what are the organizational and personal issues that prevent the "right" things from happening?
And, if discovered, is everyone really willing to do what it takes to reach that level of performance?
That's what keeps us doing what we do
Keep writing. . .

Great stuff. Our entire company is based on bringing authenticity on a daily basis. In the URL above, I left a link to the philosophy everyone in our company stands by (in every aspect of our business) -- from the executives all the way to the bottom.
