Yeah the whole idea of a recruiter recieving pay for putting people in gives me the heebie jeebies. I just think it is a dumb idea that will allow some people who claim that recruiters will lie just for the money to have a leg to stand on.

As I mentioned on Station Commando's site, this could make the recruiters look even more like used car salesmen (at least to the anti-military crowd). I'd like to believe that since military folk, by virtue of being in the military in the first place, are more concerned with serving higher ideals, than earning higher paychecks, that this wouldn't effect their morals. But the sad truth is that a small minority, who were borderline ethically to begin with, will cross the line to unacceptable behavior, and ultimately, the image of the recruiter will suffer. I'm just waiting for the Special News Reports, Time magazine spreads, and various anti-military, anti-recruiter backlashes.

There is also the issue of the hero selling a contract to the zero roller for more than he would get paid for writing it himself.

maybe the incentive is get more guys to willingly take recruiting duty? I think it may be one of the toughest jobs in the world (any service)...
and I agree with you -- if they are going to offer recruiters money for mission, what should be offered to snipers and infantry when they make theirs?
