Gravatar My friends who are more electrogeeky than I am think it might be a two phase plug, but they haven't seen one like that. My question is: What's with all the grass sticking into the thing? Isn't that dangerous?

Gravatar looks to me like a roll of the outer sleave covering of the HD cable wedged in with the bare copper ground conductor from the same.
I'm real curious as to what kind of connector is _supposed_ to connect there?
Don't think I've ever seen connectors of that size, shape, placement, etc.
Good on you Steve!
Curious - what general level are you talking about for shipping that "monster"?

Gravatar It's a 3 phase connector, and I'd really like the "official" other half of it. Right now I have one hot (red) plugged into "2", and neutral/ground plugged into "4G". Black will plug into "1", giving me 220vac at my panel indoors, and leaving "3" available for 120vac at the gen site. The grass isn't sticking into the copper connectors (where the wires are), only the plastic housing. I will clear those. Shipping cost me $1100.00 or so.
