Green Trust

I have a friend who made a biodisel bus. He didnt even but the conversion kits. He just put a 55 gallon drum behind the driver seat and used a little pump at Chinese food places, b/c there greese is the cleanest i think. And I think he filled up once in New Mexico and came all the way back to St.louis where he didnt need to fill up again... or so he said. Do restraunts get money back for their greese or do they pay someone to take it back? I remember a Simpsons episode where Homer and Bart try to steal the school greese and Groundskeeper Willy chases them through the airconditioning ductwork!

Gravatar All the restaurants we work with have to pay to have the grease taken away. We are building sealed veggie tanks underneath the vehicle. It's more professioanl than a drum inside, and the insulated tanks hold the heat longer. No welding required.

Vegetable oil must be heated in order to prevent damage to the injector pump, injectors, and valves. Vegetable oil is not biodiesel. Biodiesel is a chemical conversion of vegetable oil using lye and methanol into a methyl ester. Biodiesel requires no engine or fuel system conversion.
