Gravatar One of the components of waste glycerin is methanol. Methanol fumes in an 8000 gallon tank with only 1400 gallons on glycerin meet sparks from grinder .....

Lets keep it safe out there folks!

Gravatar I was wondering what caused the explosion. Did they not have a way of re-condensing the methanol? Seems like a wasteful process otherwise, given the cost of methanol. Then again, in an empty tank, it doesn't take much to create an explosion.
