Gravatar Just sounds like you're going to give everyone the munchies driving around. The fact that this is possible - great!

Gravatar For your Duramax conversion, how did you keep the injector controller cool? I am looking at converting my '02 but the high pump presure (10x PS and Cummins) as well as the fact the controller is cooled by diesel have me worried. I think that the base system will work, but the long term durability for the controller and common rail system make me think otherwise?? Thoughts or am I just over analyzing this.

Gravatar A thermostatically controlled fan/heat exchanger. Doesn't come on in winter, but does in warm weather. Over 6000 miles so far, don't expect any long term issues.

Gravatar Steve, where did you tie into the stock fuel lines? Does the wvo go thru the stock filter? Can you elaborate on the control cooling?
THanks

Gravatar The veggie has it's own filter. the fuel system is cut right after the stock filter. We added a cpu cooling fan and heat sink to the fuel computer.

Gravatar my husband and i just bought a gmc sierra 2006 3500 diesle and we are in need of some advice right now, we seem to be surrounded by skeptics however we are both environmental advocates and bought the diesle specifically to convert.
I have two questions....first which conversion kit do you recommend and my husband knows a little about engines, do you think we should get it converted by a perfessional or is it plausible to do it ourselves? Also we both have assumed that the warranty on the engine would be void upon converting...do you know anything about this as well.
thanks so much for your time, take care

Gravatar Unless you have mechanical skill, I would not recommend doing it yourself. I have hundreds of conversions under my belt. I recommend http://www.goldenfuelsystems.com or http://www.greasecar.com

Yes, your fuel system warranty will be void. Non-fuel system related warranty claims will not be affected.
