I'd say the first thing you will want to consider is "PowerPipe"
technology for heat recovery on the drains; for those that are
unfamiliar, it uses a heat exchanger to take heat from outbound water to
preheat the supply to the hot water system (tankless or tank).

After that, collecting and redistributing graywater is do-able, lots of
internet resources on how to do it.
What they all pretty much agree upon, however, is laundry water is a
lost cause except for immediate use. Too much biological contamination
in the soils to store it for more than a day. Some websites get quite
graphic as to what happens if you do hold on to it for a while. Don't
.

And, of course, just so it's said, it is contrary to the Canadian
Plumbing Code and may be contrary to various US codes to use aything but
potable water (no graywater!) in any conventional plumbing appliance;
even a flush toilet.

Oh, and we've finally finished framing and screening in our "square foot
garden" projects here at Le Boisé, and have already harvested a few
salads and whatnot; we got started a bit late.
Our two gardens are 4' x 8', raised about a foot using left-over logs
from the house construction, and framed with lightweight 1 1/2" ABS pipe
(so next year we can close it in for a greenhouse start) and screened in
on hinged panels (for access) to keep the bunnies and other grazers at
bay .
