thank you so much for these pictures and pleae know everyone is praying for our troops. Even those of us who think this war was the wrong direction to go in the fight on terrorism, support our troops who give so much to support us.
I have adopted a soldier and keep up on the Miblogs to feel closer to all those serving.

Just a little note to everyone...
Yes I am alive. Just haven't found the time or inclination to write anything lately. I've been barely able to keep my head above water with the buisiness at work the past couple of weeks. Thank you for your support everyone. This is not a goodbye, I will be back, when the time is right. In the meantime, I love you all and wish everyone the best holiday season. (If I haven't returned by then)

I have a picture of a friend in Afghanistan feeding some of his rations to a litter of kittens. He said it was just a little reminder of the kittens he left at home. He said moments of normalty are far and few between and he cherishes anything that makes him feel 'normal'.

Well, did nobody (and especially ex-military or serving personel) notice that the soldier petting the kitten is NOT an US serviceman? Notice the red leather boots, IDF (Israeli army) body armor and helmet...My guess Golani Brigade trooper.
On the other side, there is no excuse for staying in military service of any nation if that nations politics contradicts ones personal ethical and moral convictions. If you are proud of being free americans or europeans,,,simply turn your back to the carnage and leave service...
You are responsible for your actions..always.. remeber that. Even if you recieve an order to kill the enemy, it will always be your finger that pull's the trigger, nothing can change that.
God bless all soldiers and foes alike, they truly deserve our compassion.
