I must need new glasses or a new shrink. At first glance I saw the letters "cr" between the "e" and the "o" and thought "Gross!"
No, you just fell for my trap! It works on the same principle that all of those spams use when they try to get around spam filters. You know, the ones that want to sell you Vi agra or mortg*ge etc. When we read, we read in a kind of gestalt, taking all the letters in as a group and responding reflexively. It's related to the principle that says that if you're on Jeopardy, go with the answer that pops into your head, it's probably the correct one.
I love language. I love the human brain.
