I LOVE that poem. My mother, wonderful as she was, didn't read aloud to me. My two older brothers did, a bit. Mostly, mom made sure there were plenty of books around and encouraged me to read them myself. I've always been so thankful for that. I read to my kids and they both fondly recall those times.
