I, personally, have no problem with getting the hell out of the middle east, and I mean all of it. I could give a crap if civil war in Iraq escalates into one big, messy, bloodbath when our troops pull out. World opinion is thumbs down with respect to the United States, and that isn't gonna improve if we "stay the course" or pull out. The different tribes in the middle east having been waring with each other since the beginning of time. They deserve each other, lets give them what they want. HD
We're there to battle the terrorist threat, while we figure out how to control the Oil supply and revenue.
Bush keeps talking about staying until we "win" and "achieve victory" but I am still waiting to hear exactly what he means by that.
I am looking for some encouraging words from the folks who have long blogged about how this war was all good, and parroted Rush's argument that the MSM was way off base.

I woke from a nap yesterday with a simple thought. How could the people of Placer County elect a deferment creep back into office while leaving a Vietnam Veteran home. All the clowns out here who SAY the honor our veterans, yet they don't honor his service to our country enough to elect him to office. Instead they DISHONOR him by re-electing an official with very little scruples.

You are so right PB. The die-hard repugs in Placer may be in for a surprise in the next few years. The recent election revealed that new growth in Placer County has been from a hole lot of Democrats and Independants who don't think voting party ticket is cool. HD
