Hi Pia! You don't know me, but I want to let you know that we're also praying and rooting for beautiful little Lucas.
Also, have you found a hospital yet that could take in Lucas's case and help with the costs? Try CHKD (Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters) of Virginia. They are a free standing full service pediatric hospital. They even own thrift stores and have all sorts of fund raising campaigns as a source for their financial aids. My friend's daughter had Leukemia and they handled everything for free. She's now in full remission. Don't know if they take in international patients. But if you send them Lucas's pics and info - who knows, they might or could recommend you to someone else. Check there website at www.chkd.org....God bless to all of you. Hi Pia! Checked CHKD again and they are indeed a not for profit pediatric hospital. Who knows, they might take in Lucas's case for free of just at a minimum cost. Continuing on praying for this precious little baby....

maybe your sister would like to see dr. jorge garcia at asian hospital. he is a world-class cardio-thoracic surgeon who teaches (and practices din yata) in washington dc. he stays mostly in the US and comes here once a month to perform surgeries. he's an amazing surgeon. he's done bypass surgeries for my dad, tita and cousin. he's not a pediatric cardiologist but he may be able to help you get referrals or something.
he holds office at asian heart at the medical offices building of asian hospital and medical center in alabang.
