hi pia, sorry to hear about your nephew, and my heart goes out to his parents. will keep lucas in my prayers.
you might want to try the mcdonald's house of charities. a former colleague of mine was able to have her niece's heart surgery (i think) sponsored by mcdonald's in the states. they took care of housing them too. i don't have their number, but you can try this http://www.rmhc.com/.

I don't have any help with the financial side, but you can check out my son's blog. (Mine, really-he's only two) There is a list of other children with Truncus, and it's nice to get some info and see success stories before surgery. There is also a link to an online support group, with over 200 truncus families. Thinking about your little nephew...
