Sandy, it's so good to see you back. I'm so jealous of you having two weeks off from work! I had a week off earlier this month (my daughter and son-in-law were home on leave); it took me another week to catch up all the crap on my desk. Anyway, it's great that you're back, and I hope you and yours have a happy, memorable holiday.

As for cheap meals - have you ever checked out Saving Dinner? Leanne has got menus for every budget and dietary need - and they're good, too! She's a North Carolina girl, so she knows what Southern Cooking is all about. The menus come complete with shopping lists and nutritional information. I love them.

Lovely to hear from you Sandy, glad to hear you have some time off. Weather this side of the water is very mild, which since I've been confined to bed with flu followed by chest infection, with raging temperatures, I could wish it colder! Have a lovely Christmas, look forward to more posts in the New Year, love your cookery bits! I will also check out the site mentioned by morning glory, what a lovely name.
