And oh yeah, impeachment of the President himself should be out but we're -- finally! -- going to conduct some oversight hearings on Iraq and Halliburton and I think we'll find enough on Cheney that he'll resign in disgrace before any proceedings can even start.
I think the oversight hearings will open so many cans of worms that the sound of their wiggling will keep folk up nights, especially in the White House. With the public discovery of tens or even hundreds of billions of dollars stolen from the people, impeachment will be a real possibility, even with a razor-thin Senate majority. The Republican Senators will have a difficult choice to make: vote to convict or forever be perceived as abetting the criminals. Let's face it, many of them have been.

I'm with Jones, of course, but it has to be done the right way. Start with investigations as to where all the billions went missing in Iraq. Then investigate the energy policy meeting Cheney had before the war, with maps of Iraq oil fields. Add in a few pictures of flag-draped coffins and Abu Ghraib torture victims...Once they put two and two together, the public won't forgive the Dems if they don't impeach at that point. Pelosi can act abashedly reluctant, and say that history has forced her hand.
Open investigations into why their have been no investigations. Chairmen Roberts of Intelligence and Sensenbrenner of Justice may just have a little 'splainin' to do. Investigate which legislators have been bugged and blackmailed by the NSA 'terrorist surveillance' program. People will be eating their guns.
Its going to be great watching justice get served.
