How marvelous for the citizens in the State of Texas that all their law makers have to worry about is gay marriage! No education or crime issues they should be dealing with? No medical or financial woes there? The roads must be in perfect condition and health care in fine shape as well. Must be nice, Florida is a mess.

After your electors get this passed, will they then move onto interracial relationships? Then what? No longer will the citizens be allowed to have dogs AND cats, only one or the other? . Seems just as ridiculous to me. I just don't see why politicians need to be involved in the first place. If two people love and care for each other, what business is it of the state if they marry? If they want to leave all their worldly possessions to each other when they die or give their loved one legal power of attorney, so what? I just don't see what makes this the business of the members of legislature who have those rights as heterosexuals. (Assuming they all are!) What are they afraid of? Never mind, I already know that answer.
