If an inbred coke head who has ruined every business he's ever run can become leader of the free world then you, my dear, have a very good chance of wearing the tiara. Just remember to put down your gun before you come out of the float

My dear, if you need a pageant coach, please keep me in mind! As a former chairman on the local preliminary pageant level I believe I am qualified to assist.
PS: Keep in mind, "Miss" Texas almost ALWAYS makes the top ten!

I wanted to say thank you STB. I was reading my daily Course in Miracles lesson today and thought of you at one point. Not sure why you popped into my head, but here is the passage:
Lesson name: "I am determined to see."
"Recognizing the shared nature of my thoughts, I am determined to see. I would look upon the witnesses that show me the thinking of the world has been changed. I would behold the proof that what has been done through me has enabled love to replace fear, laughter to replace tears, and abundance to replace loss. I would look upon the real world and let it teach me that my will and the Will of God are one."
What does this bring to mind for you? Just curious what the connection might be... maybe it was just random, but I've been trying to pay closer attention to these seemingly "random" things happening in my life.
Take care today,
Sublime

30 miles!? Holy crow--good for you! The fact that my sneakers from last year are still going strong doesn't speak well for me, I guess.

Good morning!
I was thinking about the comment I posted abover yesterday and I think I figured out why the passage reminded me of you. Specifically, the sentence:
"I would behold the proof that what has been done through me has enabled love to replace fear, laughter to replace tears, and abundance to replace loss."
I think it speaks of you and the things you've done (and continue to do) for other people. You seem very kind and generous. Enough said.... just thought I'd share, hope you don't mind.
Take care,

Honey, you know those girls from Texas always win the crown. Can I be your stylist?
You are quite the walker. If you keep walking towards my house, you will be here in 344 days. I'll leave a light on for you. I never wear out shoes, but I have worn out the carpet between the couch and the refrigerator.

STB - You just rock. Thanks for stopping by my page. As for Miss America - Since I am a Texan - you know I know all about BIG HAIR so you would totally with my help. I think it is great that you get out and walk. Some days you must go either very early or very late depending on the heat and that damn ozone. Only in Houston - Got to Love it!!! Peace.

Hey there!!
Excited to see your comment....and I will not, under any circumstances, slow down on the shopping! LOL
I'm in Maine this week visiting my parents. We've been watching a lot of FOX news...but I'm closing my eyes as much as possible.

My husband does not do much housework but he is obessesed with clean clothes and clean shoes. I can put something on in the morning, and later that night, it will be washed, dried, folded and put away.
He washes tennis shoes in the dishwasher. Has lots of laundry tips, the laundry nazi. Only use half the amount of detergent recommended on the box of Tide or whatever.

I was under the impression that there was a difference between church and state. What the hell happened since Bush came into office? Did we just throw that all out the window or what? And we all allowed this to happen! Man, it pisses me off. Sorry, I get heated. LOL.
